From very early on I knew I wanted to be a farrier. My passion for horses and the attendant sense of responsibility for those horses has come to me from my father. I owe a great deal to older farriers who have shared their knowledge of horses, shoeing and hoof care with me.

I have always been interested in lameness and the orthopedics of horses. My work at Dr. Cronau's veterinary clinic gives me an amazing opportunity increasingly to work therapeutically. The knowledge I have gained has meant I can now use a variety of methods to help lame horses. The same is true of hoof problems. These insights have an impact on my preemptive work with healthy horses, too. All horse owners want to keep their horses healthy after all.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Peter Cronau for everything I have learned.
